Kari Windes is Running for Brea City Council
Longtime Brea resident, Kari Windes, is running for a seat on the Brea City Council in November 2022.
Her campaign slogan, “Building Brea Together,” focuses on representing the voices of the community, making the city safer, and promoting responsible development within Brea.
Community activism has always been a priority, most recently with seven years volunteering with the Brea Education Foundation, as well as a recent collaboration as co-founder of SAFE (Safer Avenues For Everyone), a nonpartisan organization that advocates for safety in the area surrounding Laurel Elementary Magnet School and the Brea community. A 32-year resident of Brea, Kari lives with her husband Steve, and has three kids (one of whom is a teacher at Brea Junior High School). She attended Brea schools growing up, currently works for Brea Olinda Unified School District, and now hopes to serve the community as a member of the Brea City Council.
