Hi! Thanks for researching the candidates for the November 8, 2022 election. My name is Kari Windes, and I am running to serve you on the Brea City Council. I am a 32-year resident of Brea, along with my husband, three kids (one is a teacher at BJH!), two feisty cats, and a dog. I have been educated, worked, and lived in Brea, and I have a deep sense of pride and care deeply for the future of the city and its inhabitants. 

 Here is how I will fight for you:

1. I will represent the voices of our citizens. Their safety and concerns are to be heard at the table; I will ensure that your questions and concerns are included in city council discussions and decisions. I plan to reach out, consult with, ask advice from and listen to the city experts: Brea's homeowners, business owners, and residents. There is amazing brain power and willpower within Brea.

 2. I will work to make our city safer. Brea is my home, the home of my family, and the home of many of my friends. Like many of you, I want to make this city as safe as possible. As a city council member, I will examine local transit, especially to schools, and work to make it not only safer, but more efficient.

 3. I will promote thoughtful and transparent development. Brea is growing. At any given time, there are multiple projects in various stages. We need to ensure that every new development project is approached thoughtfully and transparently to maintain the safety and quality of life within our community.
